2014Jan from Warren Forsythe - genealogy126 (at) fairpoint.net
for descendants of 1850 Adams Co IL marriage of Henry Goolsby Childers and Lois Hanks
we yesterday corrected some mistakes that we'd posted for years
Those results posted at
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=REG&db=townsendthos&id...
The mistake we made previously was being unaware that there were TWO (more or less unrelated robert childers men both born 1860 IL or very close to then, BOTH died in 1930s in Kansas
the one NOT directly associated with Adams County IL is compiled at
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=REG&db=townsendthos&id...

Thank you Sandy and my apologies. You are correct, I referenced the wrong generation. John Drew Childers is the son of Francis Marion b. 1835. Drury Childers (b.1805) is my husband's great-great grandfather. Your 2x great grandfather was called "Uncle Babe" by our aunt Maggie. I would love to know if you have parentage of Drury Childers (b.1805) as I have only been able to guess. Also would you be able to confirm Drury's wife's maiden name? Family information I have is her name was Nancy Fannie Butler but have not been able to prove with documentation. Thanks very much!

1900 Clay County census has Thomas D as son of Allen Jefferson Childers. I earlier confused A. J. Childers with James Allen Childers. Allen Jefferson Childers IS my gr grandfather.

that info was wrong. It was the death date for James A Childers ...... J. A. Childers instead of A. J. Childers.
