AUSTINTOWN, Ohio - Betty Ann Childers, 68, died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at her home.
Born June 28, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio she was the daughter of Joseph P. and Vera (Bega) Andrjwski.
She was a lifelong resident of the area.
Betty retired from Steel City Manufacturing in 1998, where she worked as a press operator.
She was a member of St. Casimir, where she served as secretary. She was a member of AARP, Neighborhood Girls Club
Survivors include her three children, Larry L. Childers Jr. of Austintown, Ohio, Connie (Thomas) Ben of Canfield, Ohio, and Eric (Stephanie) Childers of Canfield; 12 grandchildren; sister Jean (Stephen "Bud") Symbolik of Austintown; and brother Tom (Rosemarie) Andrjwski of Beloit.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Larry L. Childers, who died on June 20, 1996; sisters Veronica Shuler and Helen Fusco; and brother Joseph Andrjwski Jr.
Cremation has taken place, private interment will take place for the family at Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Valley.

I found that they were in district 5 but can not figure out why? what happened to the parents? Can not find death certificate. I am hoping that someone has seen their names in thier research and can help me.

2:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 14, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint
Hill Road, with a graveside service to follow at 3:00 P.M. at Sunset Memory Gardens. The Rev. Dr.
Charles C. Williamson and the Rev. Lee Koontz will officiate. Mr. Childers was a 1949 graduate of Central
High School in Lenoir. He was a retired supervisor with Western Electric Company, now Lucent
Technologies, with 32 years of service. His career with Western involved work assignments and sites
over the Eastern seaboard including Montreal, Canada and Bell Telephone Laboratories in Homedale, NJ.
He was also involved in the development of the first underground electronic switching system in North
Carolina. After his retirement, Mr. Childers was a co-owner of Six 'R' Communications for ten years. He
was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. After a memorable childhood growing up on his
grandfather's farm, he developed a love of the mountains of Western North Carolina, and traveled there
often. He loved nature and saw beauty in everything, and had a kind and gentle heart. He was an avid
golfer and enjoyed all sports. Mr. Childers was a Korean War Veteran and a member of Philadelphia
Presbyterian Church. Mr. Childers was preceded in death by his parents, Henry E. Childers and Annie
Crisp Childers, and sister, Reba Swanson. He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Dolores Hood
Childers; sons, Kevin Childers and wife, Amy, of Charlotte and Christopher Childers and wife, Donna, of
Matthews; brother, John N. Childers of Union Grove; and three grandchildren, Amanda Childers, Evan
Childers, and Aaron Childers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart
Association. Condolences may be offered at www.mcewenminthillchapel.com. Published in Charlotte
