I'm doing my family tree. Joshua Allan Childers is a beyond distant relative, but I seem to not be able to find anything on him. That part of the tree is just stuck. I found a ton of information on his wife, Daisy May Hosler, and her family.
All I found was that he was born November 1866, and in Mounds, Pulaski, Illinois.
I would really appreciate the help.
Thanks!

Childers-Childress.com type experts have clued me in that in the 18 years since Virginia Genealogist 34-35 Childers article was published, they've not been standing still, and have corrected some shortcomings in Ms. Dennstedt's Va. Gen article.
I've tried to post revisions at:

an expert told me the Va. Gen 1990-1991 article has improved upon, mostly just for the origin of the earliest Va. Childers immigrants:
note that the Yorkshire, England baptisms have unusual spelling of CHELDERS
improved beginning to the descendancy posted at

My recent compilation at
http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=REG&db=townsendthos&id...
is quite faithful to the early colonial Childers family tree in Virginia, as published in Virginia Genealogist 1990-1991
--
!Childers Gen. in Va Genealogist 1990 and 1991:
"Progenitors and kinfolk of Abraham Childers III" by Alberta Marjorie Dennstedt
1990 Va. Gen. 34: 3-13, 97-109, 180-194, 266-280
1991 Va. Gen. 35: 43-54, 109-118, 199-207 .
Elsewhere on database townsendthos you may find my compilation too speculative, but the above tree is very close to the tree in the above Va. Gen. article.
Possibly this new tree posting is a MORE COMPLETE compilation of the descendants of Philemon Childers born ca 1656 and his wife Mary Howard, than previously available online.
