Lucy,
Rachel was from the Thomas Childers & Lottie Brewer family. They were James E.'s parents. And I have not yet connected them into my Childers ...BUT I'm not saying they are not related, because they came to Mississippi by way of Tennessee, and so did my ggg grandparents.
So its very possible my grandfather [William Archibald] & Thomas could have been brothers or close related like an uncle & nephew. Families usually moved at the same time.
When my grandparents left Ripley, Tippah Co., Ms. to come to Texas they came along with his uncle and other family members. Do you have lots of Childers info ?
You can e mail me at my address if you like, just put Childers in the Sub. Box.
Lowdean
