The pictures are very nice and took lots of time I am sure. Going by the
location of the photo shops they go from Chicago west. The ones from WW1
are interesting. I can not connect to these but they are worth the time
to check them if any of you have connections to the mid west.

Hello List:
Need information on the parents of Lucinda and Mary Parris:
Mother: Sarah [nee ?] PARRIS WARD b. GA
Father: Mr. ?? Parris b. England
I am looking to find the parents of sisters, Lucinda Ann PARRIS and Mary
PARRIS.
Lucinda was b. 1827. Some census records state she was b. in Georgia and
others state AL. Mary was b. abt 1825. The 1850 census states Mary was b.
in
AL.
Sarah WARD was their mother. I do not know the first name of Mr. PARRIS,
their father. Perhaps Sarah WARD remarried after her marriage to Mr. PARRIS,
or
WARD could be her maiden name, pursuant to the custom of widows taking back
their maiden names.
Lucinda PARRIS m. Simon Hall NELSON (son of Thomas NELSON and Katurah HALL of
Carteret Co., NC) 1845 in Sumter Co., AL. On the marriage record there is
listed a bondsman, John H. GARY. Sarah WARD signed consenting for daughter,
Lucinda to marry.
Mary PARRIS m. David TODD Feb 25, 1845 Sumter Co., AL. On the marriage
record, the bondsman, a William TODD certified that Mary was the daughter of
Sarah
WARD, and that Mary was over 18.
I obtained from Sumter Co., AL Probate a "Letter of Permission to Marry"
signed by Lucinda's mother, Sarah WARD. Lucinda married second husband,
Moses
Hiram HALL in 1866 Mobile Co., AL and resided in Baldwin Co., AL with their
children, and her children from her first marriage to Simon Hall NELSON.
Lucinda & Simon Hall NELSON's children:
Thomas Nelson
Kathleen "Kitty" Nelson m. Stephen Decatur FULFORD
Eliza Jane Nelson m. Jason McCLANTOC
Simon Hall Nelson, Jr. "Dock"
Simmy
Annie Marie m. LOWELL
Lucinda and Moses Hiram HALL's children:
Ella Rebecca Hall m. Joseph MANDERS in Baldwin Co., AL
William Hiram Hall m. Irene COOK in Baldwin Co., AL
Laura Hall m. ? CLARK.
David TODD was b. abt 1826 and d. 25 Feb 1845. Mary A. T. PARRIS TODD was b.
abt 1825 and d. between 1860-1870.
Mary & David TODD (b. in MS) and their children resided in Choctaw Co., AL.,
pursuant to the 1850 census. There is a Thomas TODD age 44 b. in Georgia
listed with the household, but I not know who he is in relation to David.
David, Mary and their daughter, Jasa C. TODD cannot be found in 1860 census,
but their other children are listed on 1860 Baldwin Co., AL census, evidently
to be near their maternal Aunt, Lucinda Ann PARRIS NELSON?
Mary Parris & David TODD's children:
1. Cornelia Ann TODD b. 1846 m. John W. HURLEY 28 Jan 1863 in
Baldwin Co., AL . John W. HURLEY d. between 1875-1880. Children of

5. Harriett b. abt 1875
2. Jasa C. TODD b. abt 1848, not on 1860 census with family. Died between
