Indiana Jack
Thank you, for your concern, I'm going to miss him a lot. He was one of the
last of 12 childern born to my great grandfather. He was a disabled vet from
WW2 having stepped on a rather nasty landmine which alerted a sniper to his
units location. Keeping them under fire for over 8 hours. Due to his wounds
he had
to wear a leg brace the rest of his life and was in pain for years from those
wounds. He never complained though always had a big boyish grin when he same
you. He was proud to have served his county, flew an American flag every day,
and was very proud of his family. This link will give a bit more information
about him and theres a letter he wrote from France in 1944.
The old solider died quietly at home, with his family around him. After
suffering from a stroke some 3 weeks before.

Good evening:
Sarah Childress is stated to have been married to Nicholas Perkins during
the latter 1600's in Charles City County, Virginia or in Henrico County
Virginia. The Perkins, Childers and Ellis surnames show up on a number of
documents. Any assistance with primary or secondary documentation of these
lines greatly appreciated. Always happy to swap files.
