I have 3 handwritten letters from Rosemary Vaughn in St Genevieve, Mo. I
got them trying to find out more on my Robert Childress. Her G-G

Joseph born 1836 AL. There is a page of James Thomas (Thompson) Childers
descendents. On that page she marked George Elvis as he Grandfather. She
also shows Sarah Gilbert ,3rd Wife of Robert C. Childers, descendents. I
would like to send these to some one who will share them with her kin. I
am condensing 25 years of research on my Robert C. Childress in order not
to confuse my files. There is no charge for any of this but maybe it
would be better with the list owner. She has old and shakey hand writing
but it is ledgeable. This was sent to me 1998 and I have her address but
have no way of knowing if she is alive. It would be some one elses job to
verify her notes to census etc.

I am searching for the proof of the marriage between Mary Ann BONDS and
John E. CHILDERS.
John Childers was the son of Robert and Angelico ( Bishop) Childers.
Mary, born about 1833 in AL, was the daughter of Greenberry and Mary
(Patterson) Bonds.
Both the Bonds and Childers families lived in Tishomingo Co. MS during
the 1850's. I was unable to
locate the marriage record in Tishomingo County.
The book, "Tishomingo County Connection" lists this marriage to have
taken place 24 Dec. 1850.
Does anyone know where this information was found? Also, this book only
lists two children in the
BONDS/CHILDERS marriage. I have proof of at least three.
After the mysterious death/disappearance of John E. Childers, Mary Ann
(Bonds) CHILDERS married a John Rhodes. Mary reared more children with
John Rhodes.
Any assistance appreciated.
