Kathleen,
Do you know where Sarah and Husband lived? Maybe Tenn., Ala., Ark. or Texas?
My great aunt Sarah was born in Ala., about 1838, was still living with her
parents in 1860.
Parents and Sibblings left Ala., soon after 1860, went to Franklin Co., Ark.
Parents died in Dec. 1862, Franklin Co., Ark.
Do not know who Sarah married.
Do you think your Sarah could be the one I am searching for?

David,
My family came from Tennessee also. And I have been searching for a very long time to try and find a connection. You mentioned yours came from Tennessee and the N A connection.
Well I feel we have made a connection here. I have been in touch with Kathleen Woodall with this also.
If you would be so kind as to e-mail me at lightfeather(a)psci.net
I would love to talk over with you the possibilities of being related.
I would rather do this privately also.
With kindest regards

Hi all!
Have been "lurking", hoping to find 'anything'
that would hook to my William Childers & Susie
Brewer, who were married in IN. According to
Washington County, IN, history---he came up from TN.
They had a son "William Wesley CHILDERS"
who md Elizabeth BREWER in the same county
in IN. Their 1st child, Ida May CHILDERS, was
my grandmother; however, she died at the age of 47yrs. in 1947.
Garland, still willing to look for a Native American connection? We
spoke of you having done so in the past, at the Ft. Wayne, IN, conference.
I found Wm. Wesley CHILDERS in Barber County, KS, in 1900 (seems like a
long way from
IN to me!)Census. He was listed with his wife,
Elizabeth/Lizzie; my grandmother, Ida 2 yrs;
my great aunt, Martha Ellen, not even a month old; and a boarder with the
last name of Fyps (Phipps?).
Anyone out there connected to these people, except me?? This branch is
getting kind of lonely!
Garland, if you are willing to help on the N.A.
angle--let me know so we can work out the details privately.
Thanks to all of you who came to the Ft. Wayne, IN, Conference....I
really enjoyed knowing there were more than just myself looking for
CHILDERS. Ha.
Garland could you send me your e-mail address?
Thanks to ya'll,
David Campfield

Hello All,
This is a long shot because I have so little to go on with this name. I'm
looking for a half sister to someone in my family tree.
About all I've been told is that Elsie was born between 1901 and 1905 probably
either Williamson Co, IL or Union (City?), KY. I don't know Elsie's surname or
married name. She had a son that went by 'Buddy' that was a truck driver by
profession. Elsie's mothers's maiden name was CHILDERS but I don't know her
given name or married name. I think Elsie's mother died in 1905 in Williamson
Co, IL but Elsie grew up in KY.
Please email if you have an Elsie that fits this, rather sketchy, description.
Thanks,
-Buck Childers
To Kathleen and anyone else. that has tried to contact me.
I've had some major problems as of late with my system. Had to to install a
new hard drive. Problem was that I had to much stuff on it and it kept
freezing up, lost part of my windows program. so on and so on. Still not up
all the way, lost all of my bookmarks, I still can't access the web. So
the up dates I had for the Civil War site are as of yet to be uploaded. I
apologize for the delay. At this time I'm trying to catch up with several
hundred E-mails. Does anyone have a old mother board and cpu they don't
need that would be a step up from a 486/66 they could donate? Seriously!!!
My processor is about had it , it's about 10 years old and I think
computor years are some thing like dog years aren't they???
indiana jack
Jack, are you out there? After 2 crashes within a month I lost most of my
urls.
I just discovered than a TN ancestor joined the confederacy in KY and need
to visit your site.
I am searching for information on James Monroe Childress, married Martha
Moore, 08 Dec. 1865, Ft. Smith, Sebastian, Ark. Any little bit of information
will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Bonnie Childress LeBlanc
