I am looking for any information on James Chiles of Virginia. He was born
circa 1785, and he married a woman named Sarah.... They had a son named
John, who was named for his great uncle, John Chiles, senator from Anson
County, NC. John was born about 1805 in NC. John Chiles or Childs married
Eliza...., and they had the following children: James, Harriett, Elijah,
Sarah, Eliza, Benjamin Harrison, Andrew and Phillip.
My line is through James Childs. I would love to talk to anyone researching
this line. Any info on this Chiles/Childs family would be greatly
appreciated! Cindy Brinson

I want to take time now before something else comes up to distract me to give
a tremendous big THANK YOU to all the hundreds of list members that sent me
well wishes when I had my stroke, and them, immediately after, the loss of
our Aunt Lillie. Closely followed by the tornados. I got the get well cards
you all sent to the hospital, and thank you for those too !!

Go to this site for a look at Alfred Maloy Childers, our GGGrandfather, see
what he was all about. The site was put together by Linda Sartin, a cousin.
She did a good job.

I am a Baseball Historian & am trying to find a former major leaguer Bill
Childers. He was a local player from St Louis who pitched in one hame for
Louisville in 1895. Do any Childers or descendants from St Louis know about
a Bill Childers in their past?

Searching for information on the Joseph and Lavina Cook Childers' family
recorded as residents of Lawrence County Kentucky in the 1880 Census. Joseph
was born in Virginia around 1821. Lavina was born in Kentucky. Several of
their children eventually migrated to Boyd County Kentucky. The youngest of
their children, Samuel C. Childers (my grandfather) eventually settled in
Rush, Ky after having spent time in West Virginia and Cario, Illinois.
Any assistance deeply appreciated.
