Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

I am looking for information on William Child (or Childs). William was born around 1790 married to Sarah Vaughan and father to Joseph Childs. Joseph was born in Bromfield Shropshire UK, about 1829 married to Jane Deriscott and died 1900 in Invercargil, New Zealand. Any help will be greatly appriciated.

Of Saybrook, was born in Higganum, in the township of Haddam, December 25, 1819, and is now sixty-two years of age. He enjoyed the advantages of a common school education, and during active life has been engaged in ivory working. Politically he is a Republican.
