I would take Banbury with a pinch of salt as it is the nearest large town at the time and could be just where the marriage was recorded.

Patricia, I am in London at the moment ... normally live in Canada ...I know of NO connection to the Child family who once was in these buildings, but would think that there must be something. Somehow my 2xgrgrpa had the ownership of them ... and I am reasonably certain he did not live there in adulthood. So I suspect that he might have inherited them somehow ... Let's keep in touch and see what comes about. You can email me at rbgene(a)canada.com if you want to move out of the messageboard.
Ruth

The furthest back I've got with the CHILD family is to William born about 1811 who married Sarah CARTER at Bray in 1831.My great-grandmother was Mary Ann (Polly) Child.
Would you like to see my tree, and could I see yours to try and determine that we're talking about the same family?
You mention two tenements- John Mark CHILD lived with family in Turrells Buildings,Cookham/Maidenhead when he was widowed.
Regards.
