I have a connection with Mary Child from Twickenham. She married Francis Manning - their son William was baptized in Ipswich in 1808. Do you have one Mary Child, born late 1700s in Twickenham, in your tree? Many thanks for your help.

OK, thanks to Sharon on the WVJEFF board here, I have a bit more info.
I would like some further family info (names, dates, etc) on one John William Childs. He married a Anna Fry Smith (1860-1918) in 1886 in Charles Town WV
I am looking for anything prior to this. I know he (John) died in 1939, survived by one son, David Smith Childs (1891-1942), then David Burwell Childs (1920-1955) then Richard,Dave, and Ann (all still alive). I am the gg grandson. (Soon to be 11th gen on Kitty Fry Farm, btw).

Hello all. Pardon any noob-ness I may have as this is the first time I have really started looking into my history.
My name is Matthew Childs and I am from Charles Town Wv. My fathers name is Richard Orlan Childs, (brother is David, and has sister, Whinny). His mothers name is Marge Laycock (now) as his father died when he was young. I know I did have a great aunt that did a lot of research in the Charles Town area, her name was Eleanor Wilson. I am trying to collect information from my family, but as I am 1200 miles from them and not in constant contact, I am not having a lot of luck now that I am interested in the family name and history. I do know that the family farm is on Childs road, between Summit Point and Middleway, and has been there for quite some time. Any help or direction anyone could point me in while I try to get more information would be very helpful. Thanks
