Hi Sarah.
Although there are lots of separate Child families in the London area, I am wondering if yours are connected to mine, as a couple of names ring a bell.
I have a network of family connections between the Child, Austin, Scott, Trotman and Saunders/Sanders families. I also have a Clark you married a Frostick. I noticed that one of your Childs has the first name Austin, so it is possible there may be a connection. Do any of these names ring a bell for you? They moved around a bit, living in various parts of London, Isleworth, Edmonton, Enfield, and Richmond in Surrey.
Cheers,
Alwynne

I am trying to trace descendants of PERCY CLAUD WHITBY CHILD, son of Charles Francis Child and Sarah Kearsley. He was born in Page Street, Westminster, London on 20th July 1881and died on 18th August 1962 at Blacks Road, Dunedin, New Zealand. During the period 1900 to 1912 he was a steward on ships to New York and New Zealand (one ship on which he served was SS Florizel). He had brothers Charles, Albert, Montague and Sidney who remained in the Westminster area. Many of the family have "Whitby" as a middle name but I have not traced where this comes from. Presumably a female's maiden name somewhere in the past.
