I don't know why everybody wants to know if there is Indian blood in the CHILCOTE/CHILCOAT families. I would say that probably almost every family somewhere has Indian blood in their line. However, I'm almost sure there is, but I can't prove it . I have been told that from different families. Probably the oldest possiblility that I can think would be John Chilcote who was in Ohio probably around 1806 before Ohio was a state.
I have never seen a document of any kind that stated that either one was Indian.
If your name was Chilcote/Chilcoat and other various spelling you can be almost 100 % sure that you are all related no matter how the name is spelled.
