Russel Bigelow Chilcote was the son of William Brownlee and Lydia Victoria Barkley Chilcote. There were 8 children in the family. He was born November 12, 1887 in Rensselaer, Jasper Co., In. He had a son Max Eli Chilcote born September 1, 1917 and died December 26, 1994. He married Helen Jarvis on August 2, 1914. They were in the 1920 census of Minnesota.
I don't have a clue why he had immigration papers.

Larry,
Do you have any background on Russell B. Chilcote? I have both his birth certificate and his immigration papers. The birth certificate says he was born in Indiana, but his immigration papers say that he was a citizen of Great Britain. Any thoughts?

Larry,
I have recently started researching information on the Chilcote family tree which my grandfather Max E. Chilcote had been working on for quite some time with the assistance of relatives and friends. I have come across some letters that were exchanged, and I believe one of them is possibly from you. It is dated 1971 and is from Decatur. You seem to have a lot of information on the family. Any suggestions for someone who is trying to put to gether information from letters from the 50'S??? Any help would be appreceiated.

Judy,
If you are still looking for information I may be of some assistance, and hopefully you can assist me as well. I am also a decendent of William B Chilcote. My great grandfather is Russell B. Chilcote, who happens to be one of your great uncles. Russell's son Max had been working with some of our relatives to develope a family tree, and I have recently inherited the information that they collected. If you are still looking I would like to chat.
