Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Will of Thomas Chilcoat
I Thomas Chilcoat of the County of Morgan and the State of Ohio publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to say.
First it is my last will that my funeral expenses and all my just debts be fully paid.
Second I give and devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Ann Chilcoat , in heir of dower, the one thirds of all that I possess after my debts is paid and funeral expenses is paid during her natural life if there should not be any then not expended at her death, then to be divided amongst my children.
Third my will is that there should be provisions accepted enough to the family one year after my death.
Fourth I give and devise to Sarah my oldest daughter only five dollars for the cause of her being a disobedient child.
Fifth I give and devise to my eldest son Robert Chilcoat two-fifths of the balance left after my wife's dower and dollars to Sarah is paid, also two-fifths to Thomas Chilcoat my youngest son, also to my youngest daughter Elizabeth one-fifth as afore mentioned.
My will is that Thomas and Robert should be put to trades and bound recording to saw and lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint James Noble and Elijah Hellyer to be the executors for thi my last will and testament. Revoking and Emulating all former wills by me made and ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament. In testimony whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this 6th day of July in the years A.D. 1840.

I am searching for information on the following Chilcott/ Chilcote family. Trying to find the parents of James Chilcote b. Pennsylvania who married Lydia Ann (Lillian) McManaway. James and Lydia left Pennsylvania and came to Jackson & Vinton Counties of Ohio. They had four children: David Bartoe b. 1880's/George Roscoe,b. Sept. 28, 1881;d. Feb. 28, 1963/ There were also two girls that I do not know their names.
