Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Harley Mayo Chilcote
Harley Mayo Chilcote, 82, of Independence, MO, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2003, at Independence Regional Health Center. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, December 1, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Burial with military honors in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Mr. Chilcote was born April 14, 1921, in Iola, KS, to Clarence and Odessa Chilcote. He served in the Army during World War II, and was awarded three Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Harley worked as a carpenter and was a member of Carpenters Union Local #61 for over 50 years. After he retired, Harley spent time working at Gingiss Formal Wear, Batliner Paper Co. and was employed at Price Chopper on Wilson Rd. in Kansas City, MO at the time of his death. Harley was a great husband, father, and friend to all who knew him. He is survived by two daughters, Joan Reynolds and Kathy Gutierrez, both of Independence, MO; one s!
