Hi everyone,
I am sending this to several lists..... so, I
apologize if anyone gets this twice. That
would really be a coincidence if any of us
were on more than one list together, wouldn't
it?? :)
Anyway, I started a Yahoo list back in the spring
and am just getting around to letting people know
about it.
It's for genealogists, of course, who are interested
in the Henry Co., Indiana, area. So, if you have
anyone from there, you can post a querie (be sure
to include names, dates, & locations if you have
them) or share some of the history of the area/people
if you're from there.
My father was born there and most of his family
stayed there. I've been researching my family
history for some years now (not only his side) and
he was very excited about it. Loved to hear about any-
thing that I found. He passed away this last Jan. :(
and I'm trying to get as much info as I can so that
I can put together a journal/scrapbook in his honor. :)
I'd love to include some stories, etc... about Henry
Co. and Newcastle, in particular, if anyone had any
they'd be willing to share, on the list.
So, if you have any ancestors from Henry Co., Indiana,
and would like to share genealogical information, please
send a blank email to:
henrycoancestry-subscribe(a)yahoogroups.com
This has *nothing* to do with ancestry.com.... I just
decided to call the list Henry Co. Ancestry because
that made sense to me.
Oh, and please pass the word on, if you know of
anyone who might be interested in that area. I'd
appreciate it! :)
Thanks for listening, especially if you have no connections
to that area!!! :)
