I found a record of Ralph Chilcote in the civil war pension index. A Robert Corhard and I believe Alice Cothard applied for his pension. They applied Apr.1, 1925. Could anyone tell me the connection between Robert and Ralph. I am researching the Cothard side of the family. I just got started. Thank you
HI,
I have a John Chilcote b. 4/21-1831 in Ross Co. Ohio , town of Lakonta, who died Dec. 13, 1903 in Mahaska, Iowa. He md. Nancy Ann Gregg 1/21/1855 in Cass Co. Mo. She was born 4/20/1835 in Ohio and died 7/14/1909 in Iowa.
John's Obit is in the Eddyville News 1903.
They had 12 children but none were named Clarissa Abigail.
There is a full ancestry of this John available.
If I can find a Clarissa I'll let you know or more Cass County people.

I am a descendent of Clarissa Abigail Chilcote, who was born in 1857 in Cass County, Missouri. According to info I have, her father's name was John Chilcote but I do not know the mother's name.
Does anyone has information on Chilcote's in Missouri and in particular Cass County, circa. 1850.
Thanks!
