Thanks for the date of Sara's death.
Regarding the maiden name of Frank F. BROOKS' wife, I can offer you only two records:
1. Tombstone inscription recorded by BCHS
"Brooks/Frank F./Mar. 16, 1861/Oct. 27, 1934/Bettie Bond/Jan31,1862/Oct. 4, 1936"
(Bettie's death certificate should identify her parents' names.)
2. Their marriage, recorded in a newspaper notice that was transcribed by someone in the 1950s. (He did not show the newspaper name or the issue date.)
"A Double Wedding: We are indebted to the Reisterstown Voice of last week for the following; `The vicinity of Black Rock, in this county, was much excited Thursday of last week by the unusual occurrence of a double wedding at the Black Rock Baptist Church. The contracting parties were Mr. William H. Kelly, of the Fifth District, and Miss Annie T. Brooks, and Mr. Frank Brooks and Miss Bettie Bond, the last three of the 8th dist. The officiating minister was Elder F.A. Chick, of this place. Every seat and every foot of standing room in the church was occupied by the neighbors and friends of the happy couples, who had gathered to see them off upon their emigration to the state of matrimony. And if good wishes avail anything, they are sure of a pleasant and prosperous.life. Afterwards they, with numerous friends, repaired to the residence of Mrs. Sallie Brooks, who gave them a dinner of the old fashioned sort, with plenty of substantials, ect. Later in the evening Mr. Joh!
n Bond gave them a supper, of which 200 or more partook. The company broke up at a late hour, with many good wishes to each of the happy couples for their long lfe and prosperity.' Miss Bond is a daughter of Mr. John Bond, a well-known 8th dist. farmer."
The children of Frank and Bettie BROOKS included Lillie b. 6/2/1885 (calc.), John B. (m. ___ MILLS) and Daniel B. BROOKS (b. 7/24/1889; m. Minnie E. FOSTER).
I descend from Franks' uncle, Joseph(us) Chilcoat ENSOR, as well as the BROOKS and CHILCOAT families.

SARA B. CLARK WAS THE DAUGHTER OF FRANK F. BROOKS AND BETTY CHILCOAT. I HAVE DONE SOME MORE RESEARCH AND HAVE JUST FOUND THIS OUT. SARA DIED IN RANDELLSTOWN MD. ON APRIL 8 1977, AND YES SHE IS BURIED IN BLACKROCK CEMETARY. MAATTER OF FACT THE BURIAL PLOT WAS OWED BY JOHN PHILLIP BROOKS. WHERE DOES THE BOND COME IN, BECAUSE MY GRANDMOTHER [SARA] HAD A CHAROCAL PICTURE DONE BY MARY BOND THAT WAS MADE IN THE LATE 1700'S OR EARLY 1800'S? UNFORTUNTLY THIS PICTURE THAT HUNG IN OUR HOUSE FOR MANY YEARS WAS GIVEN TO THE WRONG HANDS, AND I AM JUST SICK ABOUT IT.

Sara B. CLARK b. 1899 could have been a daughter of Frank F. BROOKS (1861-1934) and his wife Bettie (nee BOND) (1862-1936) who were buried at Black Rock Old School Baptist Church Cemetery, in Butler, MD. I have that cemetery's tombstone inscriptions which were published by the Baltimore Co. Hist. Soc. in the late 1970s. The index does not show a Sara B. CLARK. What year did Sara die? By the way, Frank F. BROOKS' mother's maiden name was Sarah (Sallie) CHILCOAT ENSOR; Sarah C. ENSOR's mother's maiden name was Delilah CHILCOAT.

Larry, Here is a letter I just recieved today where i posted a message on John Chilcote. I thought you might be interested in getting in contact with this person. <thefirstbeemer(a)eorldnet.att.net> Jane Miller!
Good Luck, Alma
Alma
I got your message board question on John Chilcote and if they had indian blood. According to my family records John's wife Hester was a full blooded Cherokee Indian. I have found out since then that Hester was a name of a
tribe of Cherokee named after the women in the tribe.
Your Rebecca who married Frederick Wolfe was a sister to Nancy Chilcote
who married James Shaw Jr.
Nancy is my 3rd great grandmother. Small world.

We always assumed that John had married a Indian girl because he was in Ohio way before it became a state, and the only people there were the Indians. It can't be proven, but who knows.

His daughter Rebecca and Fredrick Wolfe was my 3rd Great Grandparents. I've always heard that Rebecca may have had indian blood in her (Half or maybe even Full Blood). But have not been able to find documentation to back it up. Any help will be very much appreciated! Thanks, Alma
