Thank you, Betty.
The Elliott Chidester in the 1900 census was my great grandfather who died at age 95, and had arrived in Washington State before statehood. His daughter Ruth, my grandmother, lived to nearly 101 years of age.
I was curious on whom the William C Chidester might be, as I had no record of him in my family line. Thank you for all of your thoughtful detecting. Audrey

Found residing in Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington, in 1891, with an occupation as Marshall. Does anyone have further information on him? I found him mentioned in a book "Puget's Sound" by Murray Morgan.

I have this same picture in my old family album, as Isan is the nephew of my great grandfather, Elliott Chidester (1858-1953). Isan T. Chidester (1867-1946) was the son of Samuel Floyd Chidester and Celestia Louvinna Stevenson. Siblings Samuel and Elliott were sons of Zadock Chidester and Susannah Tharp.
