Terry Chick
MUSCATINE - Terry Joe Chick, 41, of Muscatine, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 1999, at Unity Hospital.
Services will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home. The Rev. Bruce Martin of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. A luncheon will follow at the Muscatine American Legion Hall following the services.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Chick was born Dec. 6, 1958, in Waverly, N. Y., the son of Rudolph and Frances Card Chick, Sr. He lived in Muscatine since 1967.
He was a car salesman for the last 17 years in the Muscatine area, having been with Toyota of Muscatine for many of those years. Survivors include his parents Rudolph and Frances Chick Sr. of Muscatine; four brothers, Rudolph Chick, Jr. of Glenwood, Richard Chick of Letts, Danny Chick Sr. and his wife, Peggy, of Muscatine, and Dennis Chick and his wife, Cheryl, of Muscatine; a sister, Ann Chick and Bryan Barlett of Muscatine; and a special friend, Stacy Schroeder of Muscatine.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
No relation friend of the family

RUDOLPH CHICK JR.
WAPELLO, Iowa - Rudolph 'Rudy' Chick Jr., 57, of Wapello, died Monday, May 29, 2006, at his home.
Graveside service will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Danny Chick Jr., D.J, Chick III, Danny Chick Sr., Dennis Chick, Richard Chick, and Bryan Barlett. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
Rudy was born on November 16, 1949, in Tioga County, New York, the son of Rudolph and Frances Card Chick. He lived at home until he was 25 year old and then resided at the Muscatine County Home. He later moved to Glenwood until 2003 when he moved to New Choices in Wapello.
Rudy was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan but he liked to watch all sports. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially car rides and hot fudge sundaes.
He is survived by his parents, Rudolph and Frances Chick Sr. of Muscatine; three brothers, Richard Chick, Danny Chick Sr. and wife, Peggy, and Dennis Chick and his wife, Cheryl; one sister, Ann Chick and fiancé, Bryan Barlett; several nieces and nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and one brother, Terry J. Chick.

Elrama Man asking for change of name
Petitions for a change of name have been filed by Lawrence Chekonaukas or Chiechonski and Helen Chekonauskas, his wife of Elrama, who have two children, Lawrence aged two and one-half years and Donald aged ten months. They ask that their family name be changed to Chick in order to Americanize the name and for purposes of convenience and simplicity. The Court has set September 21, 1940 as the final return day.
