Have a Chick connection to Beckham County, not quite matching your post, but thought Iwould reply anyway.
My father-in-law, Herbert Francis Spencer was born in ElkCity Beckham Co.,OK in 1910. His mother was, Amanda Kelly Spencer. Her parents were Amanda Red Chick and Andrew Thomas Kelly. Amanda Red (Chick) Kelly was born in 1857 in Boone Co.,MO. She was the daughter of Thomas Chick and Elizabeth Cook.
I have no idea if any of this Chick family went to OK but it is always a possibility.
I have not, as yet, found the name Kate Allen in my Chick file, but will continue to look.
Good Luck,
Ann Spencer
