Lucius Chichester's wife was Nellie Barrett. The Manistee Weekly Times, 24 July 1884, said "Filer City - Mr. Lucas Chichester and Miss Nellie Barrett were married Sunday." Wm Lucius died in 1900. Nellie married Mr. Fish of Traverse City. Nellie's daughter Birdie married Tom Smith.
A Nettie (of Manistee) married Chas Hollingsworth of St. Ignace - Manistee Daily News 14 June, 1895. Orson Chichester married Sophie Barrett (both of Filer) Nov 1894. Are you Theo's son? Guyla was my gr-grandmother.

Hello,
Lucius Chichester was my great grandfather. My grandmother with Birdie A. Chichester Smith, his daughter. I'm curious about Lucius's wife's first name. There seems to be confusion about whether it was Millie or Nellie and also what her maiden name was. How does the Barrett family enter into the genealogy? As a child, we used to go to the Manistee cemetery to visit his grave. I see in the 1900 census, their neighbors are listed as Andrew Smith with a son Thomas. Those names fit with the rest of the family history. Birdie A. Chichester married Thomas C. Smith (my grandfather).
Any and all information welcome.
Tom Smith
