Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

1900 - 23 Jan 1900 (Manistee newspaper) "Louis Chichester, who recently removed with his family to Thompsonville died there yesterday of pneumonia. The remains will be brought here tomorrow, the burial to be made in Oak Grove, Rev. Brodie officiation.
1900-23 Jan 1900 "The remains of Louis W. Chichester were brought here from Thompsonville today for burial. The body was met at the M & NE depot by friends and relatives of the deceased and by Filer City Tent KOTM under whose auspices the internment was made. The funeral cortege proceeded direct from the depot to Oak Grove cemetery where Dr. Brodie gave utterance to a brief tribute before the body was lowered to its last resting place. The remains were accompanied here by the widow and brother. The deceased was a member of Filer City Tent KOTM and carried a benefit policy in that order." (Chichester pg 118)

Hi I am researching the Chichester family for my best friend who is a Chichester descendant. I have in my file that Lucius William Chichester was married to Helen Nellie Barrett 1865 MI-1931 MI. Her father was Charles Barrett and that is probably where the Barrett's name came from. Hope this helps. Carolyn Pruett, Columbus, IN
