Have you been to our site at www.harneds.org? Asher Harned was my g-g-grandfather, and I have some information about Daniel Chichester and Chloe Swazey and their descandants on the site under "John & Tom", "John's Personal Site", "John's Genealogy". I have additional family details which I would be happy to share via direct email at john(a)harneds.org.
Hello,
We share the Chichester family. I have your Daniel b April 10, 1770 , I think, in my data base. But he is not a direct ancestor of mine, so have only the bare minimum on him and only a name for Mary.
I still cannot find my own definitive ancestor earlier than my Ephraim born about 1760 and married to Hannh Place. If you have any inforamation on this man's father, please let me know. Ephraim, his wife and their son Jeremiah are buried in Old Troy Cemetery, Troy, Rensselaer Co., NY. I would love to know for sure who my 5th Great Grandfather is.
I already know that I decend from the James Chichester who came to Long Island from Salem, Massachusetts whose father was the immigrant from Widworthy, England who also went to Huntington, Long Island. I, and many other researchers, just cannot find exactly which line I come from.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
