I live in Plainwell, MI and I have done some research on the Chidesters that ended up here from the east. Most of my Chidesters came from Ohio (Marietta) and moved from Fulton, Ill to Jefferson ILL and down into Missouri where most of my ggrandparents are buried. I noticed there were many Chidesters in a grave yard in Hastings, Michigan. My
ggrandfather was George W. Chidester and ggrandmother was Adeline Giles Chidester. They moved to Missouri with Drews and Clarks. Adeline's sister was married to Jesse Drew. I have lots of information on this line but, was wondering if your Chidesters came from New Jersey to Ohio to ILL.

I have quite a bit of information on Polly Heath Chichester and some information on Ira that I received from a lady named Kim Fewlass years ago. Is she kin to you? I believe she was related by marriage at one time. At any rate, I am more than happy to share whatever I have. Please send me an email at dianey(a)gte.net so I can respond there.
