Would like to know something about a Katherine Chichester b. 7 Aug 1760 that
married Gabriel Strang, Jr. about 1776 somewhere in New York. One of their
sons was my ancestor: Clement Strang b 22 Sept 1788.
Does anyone know her ancestry or anything about her? If you would be so kind
as to share your info it would sure keep me off the triple-digit streets of
Oklahoma right now! :)

Hello: I am a direct descendant of Sir John Palmer Bruce CHICHESTER of Devonshire. He had a son by wife Caroline Thistlewayte named Alexander Palmer Bruce CHICHESTER. I have seen parts of the book you were mentioning.
My descendancy comes as the result of an affair Sir John had with 18 year old Sarah Courtenay BENHAM in 1828, which resulted in the recorded birth of Sarah Palmer BENHAM. She married my great, great grandfather, John BRITTAN. My great grandfather was John Palmer BRITTAN and my grandfather was John Plamer Bruce BRITTAN.
Would like to correspond with Chichesters.
