Just found your list and was hoping for info to fill in a few blanks. The
earliest Chichester I have in my direct line is John Chichester and the only
info is that he had a son, John Chichester born abt. 1385. This John married
Alice Wotton.
Their son:
Richard Chichester (died Dec 25, 1496 and was Sheriff of Devonshire
1469-1475), m Margaret Keynes
Nicholas Chichester (born abt. 1447) m. Christian Pawlett
John Chichester (d. 1538 in Rawligh, Devon) m. Joan Bright
Amyas Chichester (d. July 4, 1577 in Arlington) m. Jane Giffard (d. 1596)
Frances Chichester m. John Wyatt (chr. Nov. 27, 1558 Braunton, steward &
town clerk 1562/3 in Barnstaple, Devon; admitted to the Inner Temple in
1576) ((What??))
Margaret Wyatt m Matthew Allen on Feb 2, 1625/26 in Braunton, Devon. Both
died in Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut, America.
Can anyone verify what I do have and maybe add to what I do not have?? I
will also be tracing the spouse lines. I have a little info on them, but not
enough. Thanks for any help.....
