love to trade information with you. Can you send me a file?

Col. Richard Chichester commanded a Va. regiment during the Revolution.
Can anyone help me find a biography, or regimental history? Thanks.

Bob: None of my line went thru Arkansas. But the Tharp is also in my
line ... so I am going to print out your e-mail, and get back to you if
I find anything for you.

Dale:
I don't see your Samuel and Rachel on the data I received from Lois.
Mary C. Bowen is a good one to work with, as she is in contact with Lois
Salmans. Lois still does all of her recording on the old fashioned
typewriter (although it is an old electric IBM) ... and going up to the
copy shop to make copies to send off to people. But she does note her
sources, and indicates her own comments. Every Friday she rides the bus
to the National Archives and does more census researching.
I am printing out your note, and will contact you if I get any
additional information that would interest you.

Happy Holidays, Cousins, from COLD Seattle, Washington.
My husband and I were on a trip to Southern California during the past
week and a half .... and we stopped in and visited with Lois Salmans at
Newport Beach, CA. ... she is the one that has most of Elmer Anderson's
notes of genealogy research on his wife's line of CHIDESTER. The wife
and Lois' mother were cousins.
Mr. Anderson in the late 1940's visited in Tacoma, WA my great
grandfather, Elliott CHIDESTER, and it was because of this visit that I,
as a 7th grader, got interested in the family research that has led me
to several thousand names in the Family Roots genealogy software's data
base.
With this visit to Lois I was able to copy Elmer and her records,
including sources and evidence, that led me back from Holdridge and
Frances CHIDESTER to his father Samuel (Jr.), to his father Samuel, to
his father David, to his father James.
My line down from Holdridge and Frances CHIDESTER comes thru his son
Samuel (and wife Zeporah GOODWIN), their son Zadok (and his wife
Susannah THARP), their son Elliott CHIDESTER (and his wife Ella Jane
FRENCH), their daughter Ruth CHIDESTER (and her husband William HARMS).
I would be willing to share this information ... or would be interested
in knowing if there is anyone else related down one of these lines.
Let's continue the sharing of information ... that's the only way we can
break thru some of these "walls."
