Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

RE: Lizzie Chewning....my grandmother was Carrie Lela Chewning Turner Silas. She had a sister named Lizzie Chewning. My grandmother was born where lizzie chewning was in South Carolina. My grandmother Carrie Chewning was a full blood cherokee indian. She was sold to a Mr. Turner at the ages of 10 - 12 from the reservation. I don't know if this Lizzie was her sister but it could be. Carrie was born in 1890 and i think Lizzie was born a year later. Contact me and maybe we have found two sisters.
