Paul Lloyd Chew, 90, of Latrobe, died Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 13, 1923, in Jeannette, a son of the late Sherman G. Chew and Caroline (Kindelberger) Chew. Paul was a former member of Brush Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church in Irwin. He served in the Army as a medic in World War II. He was retired from the Westinghouse Benolite plant in Manor. Besides his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Frances M. (Milliron) Chew; a brother, Sherman C. Chew; and four sisters, Ruth Lyons, Goldie Michaels, Pearl Carroll and Ethel Chew. He is survived by his loving son, Darrell S. Chew and his wife, Ricki, of Latrobe; a daughter, Deborah R. Chew, of Latrobe; a sister, Doris Bigler and husband, Dan, of Jeannette; a brother, Arthur Chew, of Jeannette; and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul is also survived by his beloved cat, Moosie. Family and friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the JOHN J.!
LOPATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jeffrey Schock officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park.

It's located in the general area of his residence at the time of his demise, but by name & structure couldn't have been the one and same church. Just a 'foot in the door' clue so to speak.
