I'm looking for a childhood friend who I knew only by the nick-name "DOZIE" who lived on Alexander St. in Cape May Point NJ about 1954 and 1956. He would be in his late 60's as of this date. The 1940 census lists only six African-American families on that street, including Martha Chew. The others are surnamed MAJOR, SMALL, BUNCHE or BRANCHE, HARMON and CHEW. I'm posting on the surname boards of all six families hoping someone will recognize this gentleman and hopefully put me in touch with him.
Thanks for any help.

I am searching for the burial place for Henry G. Chew who served in the US Navy during the Civil War. He died ~1900.
He had ties to the town of Harrison in Gloucester County, New Jersey.
I am not related to him.
Bob
