We have started a Chew surname DNA project. Just like the Chew surname, the "Y" chromsome is passed from father to son unchanged. Testing the "Y" chromsome will provide a generic finger print for comparison. This fingerprint will determine if we are related. A simple 12 marker test is sufficient to prove two participants are related. Additional marker tests can be used to find our Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA). Any male Chew interested can contact me about testing and joining. Female Chews can recommend their father, brother(s) or male Chew cousins join. You can contact me directly at Chew44(a)cox.net
