Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Dorothea H. Chew, a retired bookkeeper and accountant, died July
14 at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Baltimore of
complications due to a stroke. She was 88 and lived in Ocean City.
The Baltimore native graduated from Eastern High School about
1930 and from Strayer Business College in Baltimore with a degree
in accounting in the mid-1930s.
In the late 1930s, Dorothea Hempel married William Franklin Chew
Jr. and began work as an accountant at his real estate development
company, William F. Chew and Co.
The Chews retired in 1983 and moved to Ocean City. Mr. Chew
died in 1986.
Mrs. Chew was a founding member of the Dunes Social Club of
Ocean City and was active in the group for nearly 20 years. She also
belonged to the Annapolis Yacht Club and owned several
racehorses.
A memorial service was held Tuesday.
She is survived by a son, William F. Chew III, and a daughter, Judith
Chew Boone, both of Freeland; and five grandchildren.
