Hi:
Well it 's a good thing I called the DAR Library today before heading out.
For all the locals here and the ones planning a visit the DAR Library in
D.C. is closed April 11-April 25 for their annual members only meeting. (I
guess I should have joined!). They will re-open April 26th.
Take care,
Debi
I think this is genealogy related and that we should all pray for these
people and their famlies. I just heard 3 are dead, one being the shooter.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A gunman opened fire at the Mormon church's Family
History Library today, wounding at least five people before he was shot by
police.
Police Sgt. Ken Hanson said the gunman fired a small-caliber handgun, and
the
wounded included a police officer. Two people in critical condition were
transported to LDS Hospital. The library is directly across the street from
Temple Square, site of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints' Salt
Lake Temple and Tabernacle.
