I have a photograph of Emil, with my grandfather, Fred Herron. I would like to know if there are any living descendants of his to whom I could send a copy of the photo. They are on the farm my grandpa owned, where Emil worked for a while, holding horses. According to the 1920 census, Emil had a wife, Eva, and 4 children, Agnes, Daniel, Amelia and Arthur. If there are any descendants, contact me for a copy of the photo. Emil died in Herron, Michigan, in 1969, and yes, the community's name came from my grandfather, who donated some of his property for a railroad stop, which they called by his name. The name stuck. Pass the word around as the two girls may still be living, or some of the grandchildren may be living. I found no Chevalier's in the old phone book that I have. But that was from 2003. myraherron1(a)msn.com
