Good Morning Dot,
I always enjoy your phone calls....I think we are becoming hooked to
the hip...but unfortunately, I could not find the recipe we talked about
last evening. I was totally surprised that dear old Martha did not have
it in her cookbook....she is always ahead of the game, you know. Ho1
Ho!
I did find another recipe that sounded interesting. It comes from
my Myrtle Beach cook book.
Here it is:
Chicken Divan
2 bunches fresh broccoli or 2-10 ounces packages of frozen broccoli
spears.
6 Tablespoons flour
2 cups chicken broth
1/4 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
3 Tablespoons dry sherry
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup whipping cream
3 chicken breasts, cooked, boned and cut in half
Cook broccoli in boiling salted water; drain. Melt butter; blend in
flour, salt and dash of pepper. Add chicken broth all at once; cook and
stir until mixture thickens and bubbles. Stir in whipping cream and
wine.
Place broccoli crosswise in 12x7 1/2x 2 inch baking dish. Add half
the sauce. Top with chicken pieces. To maining sauce, add parmesan
cheese; pour over chicken and sprinkle with extra parmesan cheese. Bake
at 350 degrees for twenty minutes or until heated. Then broil just until
sauce is golden. This makes 6-8 servings.
* I have a friend coming for a days' visit in February. I just may
try this recipe for her.
Blue Skies
That Chicken Divan sounds gread !!! have to try it myself (grin) By the
way, I have an idea how to make the other sauce - I will let you know if it
works.
Hugs - Dot

I chatted with Lyne the other evening, and it seems that our Cheuvront Web
Site is full, and she can't put anything else on it, so anything new will have
to be included in the Cheuvront Book.
Now, if anyone can read Word Perfect from a CD I can do that and it will be
a lot less expensive. I have tried the MicroSoft that is on my computer, but
it is only a word pad - not even close to holding our information. I also
tried RichTXT, and the good old AnSci TXT. It took me two weeks to get
everything straightened back out.
If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them.

Hello cousins - does anyone have any information or pictures on this line?
and family stories would be great, and would work in great in the 5th
edition, and also on our website.

Gosh! It was great hearing from you. Hope all is well. Did you have
your other eye operated on?
I have thought of you often but have had some pressing/discouraging
personal problems to cope with and that took me off track.
Will get back to you about adding someting to the 5th Edition of the
Cheuvront Book.
God Bless,
Maxine
Hi Cousins -
Now that the holidays are over, and I do hope you had great ones. Now it is
time for me to get back on the 5th edition of our Cheuvront Book. We do
have some new information, but family antidotes would be great, and pictures.
When I get it all put together I will also send to our web master Lyne Raff to
put the new information on our site.
If anyone has anything they would like to see either place please let me
know.
