Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Hello Cousins -
I received a URL for a great Web site. It covers some of Southern Ohio, VA
and WVA. It lists, birth, death and marriages, and you can even view the
certificates, and also print them. And it is free.
I found it easier just to type in the surname - of course the first time a
went to the site I typed in Cheuvront - now I need to go back and do the
various spellings, and other surnames linked to the Cheuvront line.
Have fun - Dot (Cheuvront) Sipe

Hey Dot and thanks for the the info,
You will be happy to know that DAR has reopened the Joseph Cheuvront family line ..... some lady found a bible in Canada that has the muster roll handwritten on the inside cover. Names like Elsworth and Henkle are included. So DAR reopened the line. Good news.
tks

Hello Cricket and all of my Cheuvront cousins - Dot (Cheuvront) Sipe here
Cricket - I don't have any "primary" proof that Perry Cheuvront was the son
of Amos and Sarah Cheuvront. All I have is from the 34 page booklet that
John Howard Cheuvront put together, and bless his heart, he didn't give any
references where the information came from.
Perry Cheuvront, (s/o Amos Cheuvront and Sarah Joseph), b. 1823, d. 1872 m.
Nancy Lockhart (d/o John More Lockhart & Nancy F. King)., b. 1831.
The descendants of Perry include Charles V., Cheuvront and family
Huntington, West Virginia. He is a prominent real estate dealer of Huntington and is a
son of the late Alexander S. and Mary Ida Cheuvront of Parkersburt, and a
grandson of Rev. Hubert Abels, a Methodist minister of Toledo, Ohio.

Sorry group, thats all I could come up with for Perry Cheuvront. If anyone
has any more ideas please let us all know.
Dot
