Julius Clem Chesnut is my gg grandfather, but locating the correct one my be difficult. He had 23 children and each generation had a Julius C Chesnut in it. There are 3 of them in the Raglesville cemetery and another died within the last few years. I am a descendant of his son Elijah, his daughter, Halcie, and her daughter Norma. I would like to know what happened to his identical twin Elisha Chestnut. I know he left Raglesville for Washington where he worked in a saw mill. More info on this family can be found at www.millersofwashingtoncounty.org

Hi Susan
I thought I had responded to your message last Sunday but when I went back in I did not see where my message had been sent. So I am trying again.
I do apologize for not responding sooner but my dad had passed and with work I just had not been on here until last Sunday, so your information was wonderful to hear. Kind of like the missing key to unlock the deadlock that I have had ever since I first started doing genealogy since about 1999 or 2000.
I have so many questions and I hope you would be able to answer.
Both my dad and his 2 sisters thought her name was either Hardee and then there was a Clackley that had married a Henry Chestnut so I had been researching that info, so this is wonderful.

Hi Susan,
I was looking on here last night and came across your post. I was so surprised when I saw your post I have looked for years and so has the family in Australia looked for years as well. We were looking for Anna Hardee. Then a few years ago I fouls something with Clackley, so needless to say I was shocked when I found Blackley it is like the key to so many things. The information that we have been told my both my dad and both his sisters who were Harry Burton's children, that she put the children Allison, John and Harry on the train and they lived with Henry's brother until they grew up. So you can imagine how excited I was to see your information. Then when I found the name of the cemetery John Frankin chestnut (who was my dad -- edward joseph chestnut) brother who died at 1 yr 10 months nobody knew the name of the cemetery, so that was a fantastic find and made sense after I had that piece of information. I will read through your information. Thanks so much for con!
