Hi, Johnson Chestnut's son, Lawrence, was born circa 1853 in Kershaw County, South Carolina near Camden. Johnson migrated to Alachua County, Florida before or soon after the end of the Civil War. Only, if your Lawrence lived in Florida could there be a possible connection. Jerry

Subject: Chestnut search
Greetings,
I am looking for my birth Mother. I was put up for adoption in 1966 and I am trying to find my birth Mother, here's what I have:
My Mother left Pennsylvania to stay with her Uncle and Aunt in Riverside, CA in March 1966 when I was placed for adoption with the Childrens home society.
My Mother's last name is Chestnut; I do not have her first name.
My Mother is approx. 62 or 63 years old now and grew up in Pennsylvania.
My Mom had a previous daughter who is now approx. 43 years old.
My father was from New Jersey and is now approx. 68 years old.
My Mother is described as 5' 5", 140 lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes.
My Mother has Aunt's which are identical twins and both are 5' 3' with stout builds, curly hair, hazel eyes and both from Pennsylvania.
If you think you have any information that may help identify my Mother, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance.
