I've been on a long dead ending search for my father, Clarence R. Wilkeron's, family.
It seems that my Grandfather Homer/Oklahoma-(Oklahoma is the given name on his WW1 draft card taken in Columbus, GA.)-was born in Enterprise, AL. May 7, 1900. In the 1900 US Census he is named, Son, of Tom and Elizabeth Wilkerson. The census says Toni mispelled. My G Grandfather is Thomas and my G Grandmother is Elizabeth Chestnut.
Other siblings, included Everett, Ila Belle, Willie, Sallie, Frankey, Foy, Clarkie, Connie, & my Grandfather, Son.
My GFather's sister Foy married a Cecil Crook.
Their children are: Blanche, Ralph, Rudolph. Cecil Crook is the son of William H. Crook. I know that they lived on what I remember was a farm, maybe peanuts, but I was very young. I do remember the unforunate death of Blanche maybe early 1950's. She had two sons, but I don't remember her married name.
If I can get some information from this post it could lead me to someone living with information about this line of the Wilkerson's and the Crook's who I knew as a child.
Thanks, Carol Wilkerson Russo
