Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

A Clara Essie Chestnut, b. ca. 1894, d. 1931 is revealed as # 6 of 9 children of Jessie James (Jerry) Chestnut, b. 1859, Conway, SC, d. 3 Oct 1924. He m. Lenzie Ann (Lisa)
Milligan, b. 1860 in Horry Co., d. 29 May 1925, Horry Co. # 2 child m. Samuel Walker Todd. # 3 child m.
a Bryant, but two of their children also m. Todds. # 6,
Clara Essie b. ca. 1894, d. 1931. She m. Lawrence G. Chestnut, b.1897, d. 1937. No children were listed for them . # 8 child was named Beatrice, b. ca 1895 and m. Arthur Bryant. I see no Vannie Chestnut listed in this family, but # 9 child, Albert Buck Chestnut Sr., b. 29 Aug 1899 had a son, Jr. b. 29 Jan
1926, d. 15 Dec 2000 who had a dau. named Vanetta
Chestnut who might have been called Vannie. She m.
Charles Teal and are said to reside at Winston Salem
NC.

I am looking for the burial spot of Pvt. William T. CHESTNUT (CHESTNUTT), Co. A, 44th MO Vol Inf. His apprx. year of birth was 1846. He enlisted at Trenton, MO.
We are writing a regimental history of the 44th and would like to honor these brave men by locating their places of burial.
