Bev,
Would love to help, but my line traces back from Felix Chestnut, born in 1836, in Indiana. He was married to Hariet Wade. His parents were James Chestnut and Phoebe Duffield, both born in KY. James' parents were Jacob Chestnut and Margaret Blake. Jacob's parents were John Chestnut and Patience Gumm. As far as I know, my line didn't end up in Michigan. Would love to be of some help, but at this point, I don't see a connection. There are siblings of James Chestnut who were born in KY, who knows they might be in the same line, I don't know. Write me at my e-mail address, and we'll see what we come up with.
Janice
