The was also a connection to the CARTON family of Kirk Road in Kirkhills in
this century. This may have been cleared up with the help of NORMAN PARKES
via Anne Duff.
Norman sent to Anne that: "James Ross CARTON with wife Elizabeth CHESNUT
of Kirkhills townland attended the Presbyterian church at Dervock and
produced several children.- Joseph,1851; Margaret,1853; Robert, 1858;
William, 1860."
Elizabeth would probably be a sister to John [1813-1900]
If anybody has an interest in these families or this small area of
Ballymoney I would love to hear from you.
