Michaeland Rachel have listed Their first daughter as Amarilla. In those days the last names of the children were not used. Amarilla was actuallythe sisterof Rachel and their last name was Lane. That is why the second name of several other children was often Lane. Amarilla had twin sons in 1861 and one of them, Alpheas. was my grandfather. Amarilla had the sons illagitamently. She was taken in by her sister Rachel with the infants. They liked the Chesters so much that they took the name chester. Amarilla had previously been with a Percival who may have been the father of the twins. My grandfather's first son was naned Albert ( after his brother who died at 21/1882) Percival ( presumably after the father) Chester. John Chester
