Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Hopefully this is of use to somebody looking for their Chester's from Bosanquet Twsp., Lambton Co., Canada West
Died in City Hospital, Victoria, Vancouver Island, Nov 27, 1862, D Chester, late of Bosanquet, CW, of smallpox. Deceased had been a magistrate, and also a major in the militia, in Canada. He came out last spring, and went to Cariboo, but returned unsuccessful, and had since been working in this city. He was buried in the public cemetery. [Victoria Colonist, 1862-11-12]
