I am willing to share mine if you think there might be a connection. Do you know that your Chester family originated in Glasgow, Scotland? I have a John Irvine Chester and Agnes Chester who married in Manhattan, NY. 1899. Other than they I don't know that any emigrated.

am interested in Chester Family Tree.
thanks-
I have a family tree from present day to 1780 most of whom originated in Cumbernauld, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. The earlier folk spell their name CHESTERS. They seemingly went to Ireland to find work and married there.
Edward CHESTERS married Mary DUNCAN whose son Edward CHESTERS married Elizabeth PARK and it appears they did so in Ireland.
In their tree also appear the names CAMPBELL of Mull, from my paternal grandmother, ROWAT of Mull & Cumbernauld, and HORN of Cumbernauld similarly, the family at the head of her tree.
My maternal ancestry is in Angus, Scotland back to 1745 as far as I have been able to reliably trace; I am seeking the truth, as far as I can, otherwise I wouldnt be pursuing genealogy at all.
If anyone has similar interests I would be pleased to share information.
Logically, I have always believed that the CHESTER(S) name originated in England from the City of that name. Browsing the internet a short while ago, from what I saw, http://www.thenortheast.fsnet.co.uk/page40.htm it seems that the Chesters Roman Fort was in medieval times part of Northumbria, which at one time was Scots. http://www.roman-britain.org/places/cilurnum.htm Therefore, though the name CHESTER would appear to originate from the City of the same name in England, the spelling variant casts doubt.
