Very interested, of course, when the CHESTER name is established in the City of the same name here in the United Kingdom.
We know that our CHESTER folk migrated. I have an open mind as to origin, so, can someone researching the name in the United States of America state what source you have as to confirmation of their existence in North America and, as well, how far back you have in Old Parish Records of them.

> I am looking for information about a Ruth CHESTER, born about 1627 in Yarmouth, Massachusettes vacinity. Some give her surname as CHANDLER, the daughter of Edmund CHANDLER. There is other conflicting info on this line and I am trying to weed out the 'wrong' info. Ruth, married a Daniel COLE about 1643 in Swansea, Mass, He was the son of Job COLE and Rebecca COLLIER. If you have any info that would help me decifer the 'surname' confusion of Ruth, please email me at <gail_veve(a)yahoo.com>. I also am esp. looking for the parental line of Ruth. As of now, on Ancestry.com I have Ruth's parents as Edmund CHANDLER and Elizabeth ALDEN, and this is the Elizabeth ALDEN of the Mayflower lineage. So this is esp. important to me as I have other Mayflower connections and I want' to be sure what the truth is for the CHESTER or CHANDLER lineages. Thanks in advance. Gail Remick Veve
