I go as far back as Solomon myself. My grandmother is a direct descent of James Slanker and his father Solomon. I have a contact on my mothers side who's mother is the sister of my grandmother, but she has passed and we do not have enough info on Solomon to go farther. I have conflicting information. Please contact me at jtrautmann(a)sbcglobal.net and I can give you more details. Thanks for your response.

Yes...I am working on all the branches of the Schlencker/Schlenker/Slanker family "Tree". I have developed a lot on the Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois branches. I have recently acquired the Itasca, Illinois line and am looking for a connection to the Edgar County, Illinois and additional informationon the Michigan line. I am related by marriage to the Slanker family. My late husband was a direct descendant of the Slankerville, Ohio line. I am as far back as Solomon Slanker who was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Michigan for a time. Now am looking for his parents. Please contact me at S3333(a)aol.com

My grandmother is Florence Lucille Slanker who is the daughter of Fred Ellsworth. My mom's cousin and I (Mary Ann Degrazia)have been trying to locate as many members of the family as possible in order to complete some of the family history. My grandmother is no longer able to communicate so I am trying to get as much history as possible. She is the last link to the Slanker family alive.
What kind of information do you have? I don't have alot and maybe we have the same info, but really am struggling to find more of the family line. Mary An has been extremely helpful and she is looking the same as I am.
Thanks for th reply. Love to hear what information you may have .

Yes, my late husband is a direct line from the Slankerville, Ohio people. I live close to Chapel Hill West Cemetery, OakBrook Terrace, Illinois where two of the Slankers (Frank Slanker) are buried...one being possibly being the daughter of Chessman of Itasca. Also, there are a couple buried in Fairmont Cemetery in Willow Springs, Illinois. Am very interested in continuing. Please contact at S3333(a)aol.com

Hello, I am following the Slanker line from Illinois. I am descendant of James A. Slanker who is from the "Slankerville" ohio slankers and he came to Illinois and married Anna Chessman in 1877. Is this the line you are following? We would really like to follow more of the family line and contact living relatives who can fill in more information. Any help would be appreciated. I have a great cousin who is also searching for the Slanker side as well.
Tank you for your time
